Blog » AFD100 T-Shirt & Dust Cover
For those of you who have got your pre-orders in and your deposits paid and now can't wait to get your hands on your new purchase, here's a little something else to get excited about!
As mentioned in previous blogs, the AFD100 head comes complete with its own branded dust cover, to keep your beloved amp clean and protected, as well as an exclusive Owners Club t-shirt to wear out with pride, proving ownership of one of the most anticipated Marshall amplifiers of 2010.
The dust cover and t-shirt are unique to this product and only available to those who buy an AFD100 from an authorised Marshall dealer. The amplifier is also supplied with a documentation wallet containing a certificate of authenticity as well as a traveller certificate which will be hand signed by those staff on the production line who personally contributed to the build of your individual amplifier.

Posted 1 year ago by SlaashGNR Is he dust cover not leather? Or leather look/feel? Like the faux snakeskin cover of the 2555sl? I hope it is . . . it doesn't look like it on the picture. T-shirt is pretty cool! I'll be wearing that at the Slash concerts next year!!!

Posted 1 year ago by SlaashGNR I might keep the dust cover inside the packet when it comes and use the snakesin one for it. I have a normal Marshall dust cover I can use for my 2555sl

Can't wait to get my hands on the amp now though and to team it up with my Slash LP - the guitar plays like a dream and just begs to be played through a maxed out valve amp. Unfortunately, my Mesa Mk V is too loud even in 10Watt mode to be maxed at home.

Posted 1 year ago by Tazdooby I picked up the phone and rang Marshall's MK factory today (why didn't I think of that before?!). The lady I spoke to was very helpful, said production's started and told me when my dealership (Dawsons) was due to receive the amps... end of next week! I'll see how it sounds through my 20 yr old Laney cab which has lived in the shed the last 10 yrs...

Posted 1 year ago by cpubound Sorry if I missed it. But, do we know the dimensions of the amp yet? I am just wondering if it will fit in my current Slash signature amp road case?
0 Report
Posted 1 year ago by cpubound I just found the dimensions on the Marshall sight. Nice write up there too. It looks like the depth might be tight. 230mm as opposed to 220mm. But, maybe the padding will allow for the difference.

Posted 1 year ago by cjeippert I have a combo 50 watt amp that has good clean sounds. Is their a simple way for me just to hit a foot switch to switch from the afd half stack to the other combo amp.
0 Report
Posted 1 year ago by Mr.MiteyMites Hey cjeippert with the 50 watt combo amp. What you need is an A/B switch. What it does is allows you to have one head dialed up for dirty sound and another amp, in your case a 50 watt combo as a clean sound. Works just like any other footswitch. Slash uses something similar but he typically switches between three sounds, clean, dirty, and talkbox. Hope this helps!

Posted 1 year ago by matsandersson I visited the factory and got a tour in 1994. me and 2 friends just stopped there walked in laye in the afternoon and got a tour and a schematic for the SL-X amp. At the end i spotted Jim Marshall on his way home. I asked him to sign my Marshall catalogue so we went in to his office with lots of gold records and stuff. What a great man. What a great place.

Posted 1 year ago by jupiter89 I live in the US and purchased a Marshall from Canada, which has a sticker on the chassis that states " Conforms to UL STD 60065 Certified to CAN/CSA STD C22.2 No. 60065". It also says "Intertek Listed". Is this simply a Canadian safety standard ? I assume I am not doing any harm to the amp as long as the voltage setting is the same.
